Founded in 1971 by Edmonds resident Cheryl Larabee “Shooey”, The Wooden Spoon has been an Edmonds landmark for 40 years. As one of the first kitchen shops in the Pacific Northwest, The Wooden Spoon has established a loyal local customer base and offers a fun place to shop for tourists as well.
Over the years The Wooden Spoon has expanded to sell not only kitchen ware but also household treasures including seasonal and decorative items.
After Shooeys passing in 2008 The Wooden Spoon has remained a family business with the ownership of the store passing on to her children Dan and Jenny and their families.
