Animal House

Gently squeeze the brakes when you get to Africa. You can’t miss it, right there at 22815 Edmonds Way in Edmonds.
Looming in the parking lot is a huge, full-sized, perfectly real looking giraffe peering over a fence towards the road.
When you do a split-second double take at the giraffe, you’ll see his buddy, a full-sized gray elephant, with blazing eyes and wrinkled skin. The Adult Gorilla cost about $498.00 and be sure to take home a large Giraffe for $4,998.00 plus tax. For more information visit Animal House

A Brewed Awakening is located at 8400 Bowdoin Way in the 5 Corners Plaza. This stand was built about 5 years ago and the current owner has several businesses in the Edmonds area.

As I was waiting to interview Nichole & Laurel, several customers spoked to me about this being the best Drive-Thru stand in Edmonds. As you can see, the young lady’s were having fun. They will be open all thru the holidays.

Come check out this Drive-Thru coffee stand and judge for yourself.

Or contact them at (425) 778-1002.

Santa's personal elf, Lana Lindsey, answers each and every letter that is delivered to this box.
Here’s a picture of the first mail box in the early 1990’s.
Santa’s personal elf, answers each and every letter that is delivered to this box. There will be over 300 letters to answer this year.

Santa’s elf does not guarantee that Santa will deliver everything that is requested for Christmas. Some of the lists are very long. We can’t make any promises. But we want everyone to be happy.
Some of the letters are sad.  One family wanted their mother to be cured of cancer. Many children are asking for things for their parents. Some are requests for new shoes for grandma and money for mommy to pay the bills.
On a humorous note, one child wrote to Santa directing him to the milk and cookies and advised that Santa use the phone to order a pizza if he was really hungry.

I’ve been told that some of the kids who used to come in and mail their letters to Santa are bringing their own children now.

Santa’s mailbox is located at 5th Ave N & Bell Street.

Thank you to Santa’s personal elf for all your hard work. Have a Merry Christmas.

 Fourth and Main Building
Southwest corner of 4th Avenue and Main Street

Really three buildings, this historic block has been the site of three major businesses. On the east end, the first Bank of Edmonds was built in 1907. The west end was built by W.A. Schumacher in 1890 and sold to E. Heberlein in 1908 where he moved his already established hardware business. In 1907 the Bank contracted for a new building between, to be occupied by William Kingdon’s general merchandise store, now serving as Rosa Mundi’s Antiques.

Historic Plaque (1988) – Site of first bank in Edmonds “December 1904 marked the organization of the Bank Of Edmonds to serve the needs of the community. It became the State Bank of Edmonds in 1907 and occupied this building, one of the first permanent buildings built in Edmonds. The State Bank of Edmonds was acquired by the National Bank of Commerce in 1946 and later was relocated.”
